Prof. Faroqhi’s “Approaching Ottoman History” Gets A Revised, and Expanded Turkish Translation
The new and expanded Turkish translation of Prof. Suraiya Faroqhi's How to Study Ottoman History, one of the esteemed academicians of our department, was published by Kronik Publications.
Suraiya Faroqhi’s Approaching Ottoman History: An Introduction to the Sources (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1999) has been a classic in the field of Ottoman historical studies ever since it was published a quarter-century ago.
A Turkish translation (by Zeynep Altok) had appeared that same year.
Now a revised and expanded version has become available, comprehensively re-edited by the author and again translated by Zeynep Altok: Osmanlı Tarihi Nasıl İncelenir? (İstanbul: Kronik Yayınları, 2024).
