The third session of the “Book Talks” series organized by the Department of History at Ibn Haldun University will be held around Assist. Prof. Uğur Öztürk’s work titled “The Intimate of the Ottoman Palace: A Poetry Anthology Written for the Chief Eunuch Gazanfer Ağa” (Ibn Haldun University Press, 2025). The event will take place on Tuesday, November 11, at 3:30 PM in ITBF B-50. The discussion will explore the transcription and textual analysis process of the anthology, Gazanfer Ağa’s intellectual influence, the social dynamics within the palace, and the significance of poetry in relation to power structures of the period.
