Prof. Suraiya Faroqhi will give the keynote address titled "Carrying Silver Coins Through Rivers in Spate and Bypassing Customs Officials: Eastern European Traders in the Late 1500s" at the 38th Annual Middle East History and Theory Conference, which will be held at the University of Chicago, The Center for Middle Eastern Studies on May 3rd.
