“A Forgotten Scholar and a Lost Manuscript: The Curious Case of Sarıyerli Hoca Sadık Efendi and his Tanzîr-i Telemak.” This is the title of of our next talk in the History lecture series for Fall 2024, to be delivered by Dr Alp Eren Topal at 14:30 on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in the Teoman Duralı Auditorium. Mehmed Sadık Efendi (d. 1873) was a Pravadi-born Ottoman scholar. Dr Topal will address his political theology, including especially his universalistic vision of the world and humankind.
