Ibn Haldun University has launched the "Colloquium and Rector's Tea" series, where all faculty members and research assistants come together in a friendly atmosphere to enhance communication within the academic community of the university and establish a well-connected academic culture.

Within this framework, academics meet on monthly basis and make presentations on selected topics and their current research. This initiative started with Prof. Suraiya Faroqhi's presentation entitled "Confronting the Ottoman and Mughal Empires: Imperial Legitimization in Multilingual and Multi-religious Settings (1500s to Early 1700s)".
